A consultation with Dr. Sweety is Tk 1,000. Bring any reports you already have.
Antenatal care is a series of visits rather than a single appointment. Early on the visits are monthly; they become fortnightly and then weekly as you get closer to the birth. Each visit covers weight, blood pressure, the baby's growth and position, and anything that has been worrying you. Ultrasound scans and the routine blood tests are done here, so you are not sent across the city between appointments. By the third trimester you and Dr. Sweety will have agreed a plan for the birth, including where you will deliver and who to call when labour starts.
