Laparoscopy is done through a few small cuts rather than one long one. For most patients that means less pain afterwards, a shorter stay and a quicker return to ordinary life. It is used here for ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, ectopic pregnancy, adhesions, and to investigate infertility or long-standing pelvic pain where scans have not given an answer. Not every problem suits keyhole surgery. Dr. Sweety will tell you if open surgery is the safer choice in your case, and why.
